Selangor FC will take on Sabah FC today in the first Semi-Final of the 2025 FA Cup at the Likas Stadium, Kota Kinabalu at 8:15 pm.

Recapping the Red Giants’ journey in the FA Cup: Selangor FC began their campaign with a 12–1 aggregate victory over Malaysian University in the Round of 16. In the Quarter-Finals, the team overcame Negeri Sembilan FC with a 6–3 aggregate. These results earned the Red and Yellow squad a spot in tonight’s Semi-Final clash against Sabah FC.

This is the 79th meeting between #SABSFC. According to the previous record meetings, the Red Giants have won 40 matches and 16 series with a total of 131 goals scored against The Rhinos.

According to Selangor FC Head Coach, Christophe Gamel, he wants the team to come with a new spirit.

"The most important thing is that we need to improve our shortcomings together, help each other and continue with a positive spirit. We must do our best and come with a new spirit to reach the best level," Gamel hoped.

As for the players’ availability, Sharul Nazeem is out of the team due to an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), Haiqal Lau has a calf muscle injury and Zikri Khalili has a hamstring injury. As for the other Red Giants, players who are in Kota Kinabalu today will give Sabah FC a tough competition.
